DHL Global Mail General Terms & Conditions for Unsorted Batches of Mail containing up to 5,000 Items
An agreement is concluded when the items of mail are accepted at a DHL Global Mail drop-off point.
Order confirmation is based on the information that the customer provides to DHL Global Mail depot staff.
These General Terms & Conditions for Deutsche Post Selekt Mail Nederland C.V. (hereinafter referred to as DHL Global Mail) govern the conditions under which services offered by DHL Global Mail are conducted on behalf of the customer. These shall include facilitating, directing, managing and coordinating activities related to the collection and delivery of mail in the Netherlands and any other corresponding logistics services (in the broadest sense of the term).
All orders will be carried out subject to the following conditions, unless expressly agreed otherwise and confirmed in writing by DHL Global Mail. Where activities are conducted contrary to these conditions of sale, DHL Global Mail General Terms & Conditions shall continue to apply.
Items of mail deposited with DHL Global Mail for handling must comply with the following minimum specifications
Maximum dimensions for each individual item of mail are 38 x 26.5 x 3.2 cm;
Separate items of mail must be of manageable size;
Maximum weight per item is 2,000 grams;
All items must bear a clearly legible name, street name and house number, or P.O. Box number, post code and city and be dropped off in accordance with the relevant conditions as stipulated in Annex A2 to this Agreement;
Mail items should on no account bear a clearly legible, official TPG Post logo;
Must not be monopoly letter mail
DHL Global Mail will deliver to P.O. Boxes (postbussen)
DHL Global Mail cannot process NAPO (military) addresses or international addresses.
Mail items may be dropped off at a DHL Global Mail drop-off point before 6p.m. on any working day.
DHL Global Mail reserves the right to suspend or refuse to provide services and carriage by third-parties where:
The batch/mail item fails to comply with the specifications stipulated in Article 3 and/or
The customer cancelled the instruction for a one-off automatic direct debit payment.
Undeliverable items of mail are returned to the DHL Global Mail sorting office and destroyed after four weeks. DHL Global Mail accepts no repsonsibility for returns delivered by a company other than DHL Global Mail.
All rates are exclusive of VAT unless clearly stated otherwise.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, DHL Global Mail will adjust its rates in January each year according to the NEA index for “Cost developments in domestic road haulage” ("Ontwikkeling Kostenniveau Binnenlands Vrachtautovervoer"), including the congestion charge and dense and general distribution sectors for the next twelve months. The index is published on December 1 of the previous year.
Payment will take place by direct debit depending on the quantity of mail deposited at the drop-off point. The deposit will be weighed to determine the quantity and the customer will be presented with an invoice which he must sign to confirm.
Payment for the entire order amount including VAT will be taken by direct debit immediately after the items have been delivered.
Although DHL Global Mail strives to ensure completeness and accuracy at all times when stating figures, weights, prices etc., the company accepts no responsibility for the completeness and accuracy of the information provided.
DHL Global Mail is not responsible for printing errors, typographical errors, numerical errors or ambiguity either in its own order confirmations or those issued by the customer or third parties, nor for the consequences thereof.
We are never able to respond to queries regarding individual items of mail.
Goods are transported at the customer’s own risk. He is also liable for any delays to transport provided by DHL Global Mail that are the result of force majeure.
DHL Global Mail bears no responsibility for any damage, however defined and however caused, except that caused intentionally, as a result of wilful negligence or gross negligence and then only up to a maximum of the amount of the service to be rendered by DHL Global Mail or a proportion thereof.
The customer is liable for any harm attributable to his own actions and caused by his order to staff of DHL Global Mail and/or one of its agents and to property belonging to DHL Global Mail and/or companies delivering other items, in the latter case limited to the amount that DHL Global Mail is legally obliged to pay to these companies by way of compensation for its liability.

All DHL Global Mail services are subject to the Law of the Netherlands.
